What is Raiden Network?

Raiden Network

The Raiden Network (RDN) is an off-chain scalability solution used to transfer ERC-20 tokens. The off-chain solution operates through multi-hub routing of the channel network based on the state channel. The channel network extends beyond the basic 1: 1 bi-directional channel, which means that the state channels between users operate organically. Multi-hub routing is expected to increase the effectiveness of the off-chain by minimizing the deposit-related gas costs associated with opening the channel. Currently, two-way payment channel Micro Raiden is running on Ethernet mainnet, and channel network MVP is scheduled for release in 2018 Q3. Since the second half of 2018, when the main Net of the Raiden Network is launched, the de-centralized exchange (DEX) Raidex, which is based off-chain, is scheduled to be launched.
